Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Sir Knight

Good day!  I said hello over here and mentioned Arcana Agency: The Thief of Memories, a gamebook project on Kickstarter.  I and my friends in Megara Entertainment have worked with classic gamebook series before, taking them and adapting them to new formats, and here we are going backwards: printing a new one of our own creation in paper and ink.

The project is here:

Or: http://kck.st/TQX6gr

It looks like this:

(Or just look at all the images on that page.)

You control a group of 1930's private investigators as they try to deal with the paranormal in New York City.  It is written in third person ("he," "she") instead of second person ("you"), which is a departure from other gamebooks, and makes it possible for you to control multiple characters at once (like an adventuring party in print book form).  Add to this all those little stunts you can only manage in a book, like "Go to the page number that matches the combination on this lock," and the game is a more deep experience than a "Darn, wrong route, I'll just cheat and take the other one" fest.

We really think that it's fun and challenging, and we hope that you'll take a moment to look at the Kickstarter.  If this project succeeds, we'll be able to do yet more exciting things in the future.

Thanks for lending me your ear!
