This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Looks cool. Not sure if I like Sabertooth but Gambit looks pretty good.

It's the other way for me, like Sabertooth but pretty ambivalent about Gambit.

I like that Sabertooth isn't all snarly, stupid, and can't talk -- he's at his best when he's being sly and crafty.  I'm not sure I like the physical depiction here, though.  The Blob sure is a treat to see, though.  And I'm half hoping that the dude with the swords is fucking Shatterstar!

All that said, I've never really liked the semi-immortal background they came up with for Wolverine, so I'm really lukewarm on this story.

The guy with the swords is Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds.

I thought Deadpool was a walking corpse or some goofy shit. Wait...

Wolverine, unkillable. Sabertooth, unkillable. Deadpool, unkillable.

Anyone else smelling a Highlander vibe coming off this?

I think as long as you don't walk into this movie expecting your life to change you should be okay. It will be mindless fun, and not terribly accurate. So leave your brain at home, and just enjoy it for what it is.

Deadpool?

"Yay!  Now its fighty time, fighty time, blood, blood, blood!"
I start from his boots and work my way up. It takes a good half a roll to encompass his jolly round belly alone. Soon, Father Christmas is completely wrapped in clingfilm. It is not quite so good as wrapping Roy but it is enjoyable nonetheless and is certainly a feather in my cap.

I like the preview, it makes me want this movie to succeed. However, I've become really disillusioned with what Hollywood offers these days to the point where'd I'd rather not spend my money on a movie and just wait for the DVD to come out.

Hey, will Deadpool be aware that he's a character in a movie the way he was aware that he was a character in a comic book?  What little I recall of him, aside from his Liefeld fabulosity, that was his most redeeming feature.

I hope to god it's better than X-Men United.  Of course it won't take that much to be better than that movie.  Previews look pretty promising though.

The guy with the twin katanae and no shirt.  When the supers aren't wearing their traditional, ridiculous costumes, it's impossible to know who's who without a program.
