This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

This is not surprising - he's a fricking politician.

He'll show up just about anywhere if he thinks it will get him a few more votes.

As for Pundit? I don't care who he votes for.
If he was an American Citizen -its his right to vote for whoever he friggin feels like.

Of the two candidates for the Democratic nomination, Obama is by far the less religiously extreme of the two. Clinton has ties to a vary slimy group of far-right religious extremists, that she likes to keep secret about.

Meanwhile, I don't have a problem with Obama trying to attract religious people, as long as he doesn't become a pandering hypocrite shifting his message to do so, the way McCain has.

Finally, there is at least a rumour going around (via the NY Times) that Huckabee and the most extreme wing of the Evangelical demographic may end up voting for Obama, not because they like him, but because they believe Obama's eventual presidency would be one of the Biblical Plagues of the Book of Revelation. They think he's either the Antichrist or one of his agents, and believe that its necessary that Obama win the presidency in order to hasten Jesus' return (so they'd support him for the same reasons they'd support the state of Israel; not out of any kind of love or mutual understanding but because they believe it all fits their Wacky Prophecy Timeline).

Huckabee?  Do you mean Rev. John Hagee?

RPGPundit

Supposedly, Huckabee told Novak that Obama may be the one that is meant to be president, biblically speaking, and that it might be "what the american people deserve".  John Hagee has also expressed similar sentiments.
