This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What are you reading?

I started 'Rama II' and couldn't stand it. I started to skip whole sections, then whole chapters, then just put the book down. It read VERY different than 'Rendezvous with Rama'.

[blatant blog promotion ahead]

Yeah, I don't think Rendezvous with Rama even needs a follow-up.  It's perfect as is.

I just finished Sweeney's Island by John Christopher and have moved on to The Prestige by Christopher Priest.  Awesome start so far, though it is already strongly thematically similar to The Separation.

I'm reading Neil Gaiman's Stardust. After that I've got Christopher Priest's The Affirmation coming up, and some more Gaiman, and some Neal Stephenson...

I must have a hundred books that I haven't read, and with the speed I keep acquiring more, I'll never catch up.

It's a lovely situation, except for the parts where I need to get more shelves.

I just picked up The Atlas of Middle-Earth by Karen-Wynn Fonstad.  I'm not so much reading it as I am just opening the book to a random page and falling into it.

I'm ashamed to admit that I've never read any Hornblower stuff so, I picked up Mr. Midshipman. Good stuff so far, wish I would have read it earlier. :D

At the moment I'm reading GURPS Space/ Ultratech and Biotech. Zima Blue and House of Suns by Alastair Reynolds. So you can label me a space cadet and run off my feet trying to find some time for anything else.:)

So atheists have been abused, treated badly by clergy or they\'re stupid.They\'re just being trendy because they can\'t understand The God Delusion because they don\'t have the education, plus they\'re just pretending to be atheists anyway. Pundit you\'re the one with a problem, terminal stupidity.

One Horse Town

I've just re-started The Northern Crusades by Eric Christiansen. A nice historical book about the crusade against the Wends and other Prussian/Baltic peoples.
