This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I need some TV Show recommendations

Primeval has just been axed. Still, there are 3 series to look at if it interests you.

I just finished watching Ashes to Ashes season 2 (the sequel to the BBC Life on Mars). Fantastic. Much better than season 1, which was tolerable. Apparently, there's going to be a third season, which is supposed to clear up who DCI Gene Hunt is.

Has there been any resolution to the main mystery? We're on series 2 here in 'Merica.

Yes and no.

In the U,K. what they call "series 3" I think is what BBC Amerca called the 2nd season.
EDIT: ...and Sci-Fi Channel is playing what was the first two 'series'.

At least according to Wikipedia and Imdb.

In Britain:
1st series = 6 episodes (ends with Claudia Brown misswing cliffhanger)
2nd series = 7 episodes (starts with Jenny and 'Arc' introduction)
3rd series = 10 episodes or so (starts with egyptian researcher added)

In America the fiurst two series are packaged in the DVD collection as a "First Season" since over here we are used to 13 episodes being the almost minimum for a first season of most shows. Most USA productions have an initial order of 13 episodes.  At least until recent economic pressures and such.

I figure the "Third Series" will ge packaged over here as the "Second Season".
