This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

To be Hooper is dead, alas.

First off I know my autocorrect automatically fucked up the name to be in the title. I looked at it and just said "fuck you I refuse to go back and fix it." Also " Fuck you again for misspelling it in the line above too."

Anyway, the director of the Texas chainsaw massacre, a movie I never saw or wanted to,  has died. He did direct a cult movie I love, "Lifeforce", so I mourn his passing.

Somewhat hilariously, Space Vampires is actually the name of the book it was based on (by Colin Wilson)

Salem's Lot was what I think was his best work.

Schwartzwald

I know no one here will believe it but I liked a little more about life force than Mathilda May's stunning appearance.

ArrozConLeche

Wow, all the greats are leaving. :(

Schwartzwald

They all do. So do the total dicks. We just have to hope new greats will come along.

Remember when Illinois Nazis where a joke in the Blue Brothers movie?

Its a fun movie besides that. And I refuse to feel guilty for taking prurient joy in May's nudity. Three of the girls in our group watched Wolverine Origins 3 times largely for Hugh Jackmam's bare ass :D

Why would anyone feel guilty for enjoying nudity? It's one of my favorite things.

I think Salem's Lot was my favorite of his. Thank you for giving us probably the scariest vampire ever depicted Kurt Barlow.
