This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Assassin's Creed: Ren Faire

Doom

I think Queen Latifa would make a fine Robin Hood, though, especially if she gets the steam-powered crossbow.

A nice education blog.

I laughed so hard I woke up my kids. My sides hurt.

Thank you.  I really needed that.

S'mon

Scholagladiatoria does a fair and balanced review of the trailer:

Which Lionsgate thanked him for in their own unique way:

Looks fucking abysmal. Jesus wept.

Looks like someone saw that video of that guy doing all the crazy stunts with a shortbow who claims to have uncovered the "secrets of saracen archery" and went...wait a minute...
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Yes, Sean Connery\'s thumb does indeed do megadamage. - Spinachcat

Isuldur is a badass because he stopped Sauron with a broken sword, but Iluvatar is the badass because he stopped Sauron with a hobbit. -Malleus Arianorum

"Tangency Edition" D&D would have no classes or races, but 17 genders to choose from. -TristramEvans

Why do some of them look like they are wearing modern clothes? Is this some sort of post apoc setting like that Beowolf movie?

Spinachcat

Post Apoc Robin Hood is a rocking idea!!

Chainsaw

This one totally bombed, hurray!

HappyDaze

I saw this one. My stepson paid for it, so I went...

It was pretty bad. The worst for me was when Robin and his crusader buddies are advancing through the streets of not-Fallujah with their not-M4 longbows and have to take cover against the not-HMG repeating bolt thrower until they can flank it and take it out. Of course, there's a bit in the movie where Robin has some PTSD and flashbacks from his traumatic experiences in the Middle East too...

It was bad, but utterly forgettable. Not really worth spending any more though on it.

Warboss Squee

Huh. Nobody liked Antifa the Movie?

Color me surprised.

Spinachcat

Is it watchable as a bad movie on Netflix?

Is any of the action worth seeing?

Is it really AntiFart the movie?

If time is the only thing you're spending on it, then sure, go ahead. I'd probably keep a laptop handy because the movie didn't do so well at holding my interest. Action scenes were OK, but not great. The politics of the movie are not so deep; in this it's mainly an anti-war pic with the message that a few jackasses back home profit from the deaths of the boys we send overseas.
