This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I don't know much, but apparently, the SyFy Channel (roll eyes at stoopid name) is doing another D&D movie. It's called The Book of Vile Darkness. Given that I didn't think the last one was half bad, I'm looking forward to it.

It might actually be a decent Friday night movie for them. The last one was much better than the feature.

Then again, I saw a contest a while back where people were supposed to submit NPC bad guys for inclusion in a new D&D movie with the original's director. Emphasis on the last part- the original director. So it might suck after all.

As for the SyFy BS; it is a really stupid spelling, but I almost understand it from a marketing perspective. It's so stupid that it's probably unique enough to boost google rank etc.

The Mosaic Oracle is on sale now. It\'s a raw, open-sourced game design Toolk/Kit based on Lurianic Kabbalah and Lambda Calculus that uses English key words to build statements. If you can tell stories, you can make it work. It fits on one page. Wait for future games if you want something basic; an implementation called Wonders and Worldlings is coming soon.

I hope Shartopus is one of the monsters encountered.

390. My character\'s background must be more indepth than a montage of Queen lyrics.

629. Just because they are all into rock, metal and axes, dwarves are not all headbangers.

702. The Banana of Disarming is not a real magic item.

1059. Even if the villain is Lawful Evil, slapping a cease and desist order on him isn't going to work

Sharktopus .. is .. so .. awesome!

Same here. The second one was a fun little timewaster, so I have surprisingly high hopes for this one.

Well, I hope Bruce Payne returns as Damodar. I would also like to see Charlie Sheen reprise his role as Klaxx the Lich.

As long as it has Tiffany and Debbie Gibson in it, it'll be great!

Dragonforce should do the soundtrack.

Or, more accurately, Dragonforce should do the soundtrack to a movie similar to this one, but much better.

Stick some more ex Doctor Whos in it. Baker's wide eyed elf stoner was the most entertaining thing about 1.

Oh and bring back Sophia Myles' Mage from the second. Her reaction to the line "you are not yet fully undead, do not worry the moment you turn I shall incinerate you" was priceless.

Had me worried there for a second. Looks like it's actually the same director and writer from the second one. (Which, as you noted, was good popcorn fun.)

That would be awesome! Bring back Tom Baker's elf!

I would also like to see a return of the spectral LARP from the Necropolis of Klaxx the Malign.

And Berek's magical morphing sword.
