This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ghost Whistler

Any highlights? Is it all dire? Recommend me an anthology or collection (as there seem to be a few).
"Ghost Whistler" is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

Do you like B/W comics?   If so, check out the compilations from Warhammer Monthly.   The artwork is fun and the stories range from "meh" to "cool."  I have no idea if they are still in print.   I got a huge lot of them off eBay last year.

Black Library has the Warhammer Monthly Archive and have the books as free PDFs.  And the Inferno stories too.   I have not used the feature, but the website has free downloads of samples from every book.

Warhammer fantasy is actually better than most RPG-related fantasy.

I've really enjoyed the Blackhearts series.  The Witch Hunter trilogy (recently put in an omnibus) has good reviews, but I've not read it.

The quality of writing in both the Fantasy and 40k worlds was execeptionally high. These books are far above the dire quality of the Dragonlance et al crap.
