This was a contributing factor to my selling my stores. It went a long way to helping me hate just about anyone who came int he store. It would get so bad that I lost it as two guys were getting into a screaming match about Picard Vs. Kirk...I actually took the sword off the wall for that one.

The simplest answer for that one - Kirk was the adolescent version of Roddenberry's personality and Picard was the more adult version.

  It was never a ' VS ' thing.

My wife came in. She explained, in front of the two customers, a murderous glare on my face, that I was not allowed to kill the customers. If ANYONE was going to get that pleasure it was her. It is made all the more funny when you realize Linda is about 5' tall.

There's a slight danger with this idea - at a convention with a really GOOD crowd of the right people - the arbirters might give in to a bribe of a back rub or someone buying them a drink.

Wait, are you saying that a Klingon might act so dishonorably that he would allow himself to be bribed?
