This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

We used to joke that Mel Brooks could never make a film in today's social climate.

No thank you. I don't need some social justice busybody putting my entertainment "Into the proper social context". Piss right off with that nonsense.
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

It's a miracle that Blazing Saddles was made then.
When I say objectively, I mean 'subjectively'.  When I say literally, I mean 'figuratively'.
And when I say that you are a horse's ass, I mean that the objective truth is that you are a literal horse's ass.

There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all. - Peter Drucker

Yep. And that was just the usual corporate studio nonsense.

This movie is actually the strongest anti racism message i have witnessed in comedy form. Its a staple on how things should be. But i think the ''progressive thinking crowd'' will try to appropriate everything that is popular or ''not sjw enough''. They just cant do it otherwise and they certainly cant create anything good with a message thats popular. It has to be as subtle as a brick ergo it cannot be good. They really are in a cul de sac.
