Finally saw Stargirl E01-E06 I honestly don't see the Mary Sue some critics say she is, neither do I see any signs of the woke. Not gonna spoil it but if you have seen it we could talk about if they're doing teens right. If not maybe go give it a shot?

Trailer looks fun. When I was collecting DC comics the few appearances of Stargirl and her father tended to be a bit tongue-in-cheek lighter fun and this seems to be going for that vibe?

I'm ok with it so far.

Yes, tongue in cheek and Stargilr is growing as a character, my only real issue is with the New Dr Midnight, too much of a stereotype, nerdy, outcast, speaks to herself, has no friends, useless in a fight, only the magic googles of Dr Midnight make her somewhat of any use.
(Not really magical but hell if it's not pushing the line)

The original was blind and needed the goggles to see normally as he was otherwise blind in normal light. Aside from that he was very much the street level vigilante type relying on taking advantage of his ability to see in darkness. The one Im more familliar with though was Beth Chapel, a black doctor who was blinded and given Doctor Midnights fomula as a cure and fighting crime with If I recall right. Hourman. She apparently got killed along with some other characters in a stupid Eclipso story. But as of last check seems to have been revived into the Watchmen universe?
Im guessing the character in Stargirl is not blind?

Episodes 07-11
The series is getting better, no Mary Sue/Marty Stu in sight, Doctor Midnite is still a joke, the bad guys still seem to be wining and there's a clock ticking cliffhanger of the villains plan about to be successful.
Brainwave is a scary evil motherfucker, I won't say more to avoid spoilers, but I currently give it 8/10. Let's hope the second season (made by the CW) doesn't suck like all the CW superhero shows do.

Episode 12 good episode, even the annoying brat seems a bit less annoying.
One complaint tho: The X-Men called, they want Cerebro back

I had the exact same thoughts on Cerebro, both in looks and use.

Episode 13 Oh lawdy!
You will not believe what was the nefarious plan of the ISA (Injustice Society of America)

I've been recording episodes, but I am struggling to make it through them. The show is so very CW.

It gets better from episode6-7 on and the last 4 are way better.
Also no, the CW wishes they could do something like this.
