This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

This is the movie that should have inspired the Pundit's trainwreck Avatar thread.

Brother, I'm serious. If the Pundit ever sees this flick, he'll go apeshit. Not that we could tell the difference !

And really, the race politics in this film is bizarre.

Damn. All I know is every time someone mentions this movie I remember that I missed it... then I get all depressed because I really wanted to see it...

Damn you, David R... if that is your REAL name...
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

There's this scene where Ving Rhames (a problematic character to begin with) in black prophet drag (dreadlocks etc) rambles on about the "human condition" at the funeral pryre of someone he killed. When the movie finishes, you realize that the "human condition" does not include choice. I mean this whole movie is a fucking endorsement of Fascism. Now, I get that it's not as popular as Avatar and Mastow is a hack, but this shit is insidious.

Well, just killed the last spark of desire for watching the flick. Not really interested from the start, to be honest.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

Spike

Strangely: That makes me want to see it more.  Ving Rhames is the shit, mang.   And I'm assuming the villian, and when the villian gets to say fucked up shit as if it were gospel, that means good fun all around, agree or disagree.

Rhames is a cool cat even cooler than Sam Jackson but you will be extremely disappointed when you see this flick. But imagining the look of disappointment on the faces of pikas amuses me greatly, so you should see it.
