Live action.

Looks cheesy.

I won't pay to watch it in theatres, but I'll catch it on Netflix if it becomes available.

It seems that a lot of Japanese films look that way compared to American ones. I imagine its the fact that Hollywood spends vast fortunes more than a Japanese film company has, but I don't know.

Still, it might reawaken love for the series for people here in the U.S who grew up watching the translated animation.

Doesn't look any worse than the BSG "re-imagining", so I can live with that. Besides, it doesn't hit until December so the effects might get tweaked between now and then (they usually do).
