Well, I'm tired of bitching about movies, but I really liked Shazam. I liked it because it wasn't a big spectacle. The film had some heart and was dialed way down from the other DC films being so serious and so full of CGI nonsense.
I really hope this is just hype and the next Shazam movie retains it's charm from the first film.
I'll go and see this just to watch Helen Mirren be a BBEG.
It felt a bit like an ad for the next Reaper minis Kickstarter.
They race swapped Hawkman... Hard pass.

Well, Black Adam is being played by the Rock, who is not of Egyptian descent, so does that mean you'll skip that movie too?

Based on the other famous Egyptian in comics (Apocalypse), Black Adam should be blue and have what appears to be a detachable jaw. But instead, he has a pointy ears like the elf, and I think the Rock would make a good Arwen.
If that paragraph made no sense, well that's comics.
If they got a undersea gopher to play Hawkman, and he looked like hawkman - nobody would bring up species swapping.
Hawkman is swapped to make a point and everything else second. I don't care about hawkman, and im not gonna pretend I do, but to say its not because of modern politics is dishonest.
This movie is a pass for me anyway since Im sick of capeshit films.
