This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

And how the HELL did a 17 year old who wrote Star Wars with Dragons get a) a book deal and b) a MOVIE deal - buh?

Rumored: His parents own/run a publishing company, so no book deal needed. Add hype for being a book by a teen, lots of sales over the years (and, no... I don't know why other than foramentioned hype) and you get a movie deal.

Plus, as ripped off and formulaic as it is, it appeals to the lowest common denominator, thus assuring a certain minimum of sales. CGI dragons do the rest.
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.
