This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Recommend me some TV series, cartoons, movies, specials or documentaries

One Horse Town

Spooks - a rather fraught and frantic series about MI5 that's fun, but not that grounded in reality.

The Tick! - an oldy but a goody!!

Primeval - well, i like it...

Just saw the commercial for Season 3 of the Venture Brothers.  Starts Sunday, June 1st.  Checked my TiVo To Do List and it's on there for Sunday.

:woop:

According to TiVo, the 6/1 episode is called "Shadowman 9: In the Cardle of Destiny" and the 6/8 episode is called "The Doctor is Sin".

(ADDED: The Commercial starts out with a skull and "IT'S ALMOST HERE!" "THE MOST ANTICIPATED EVENT SINCE YOUR JUNIOR PROM!" "YET UNLIKE YOUR PROM" "THIS EVENT WON'T BE A TOTAL LETDOWN!" Henry Killinger opening up his magic murder back with light coming out of it, some sort of hover tank with a red and black insignia on it that looks like Sergeant Hatred's, a steampunk looking blimp with a dragon insignia on the side,  a rampaging gorilla, the Venture Brothers looking horrified, Billy looking horrified, Doctor Venture rubbing his fingers together in anticipation in a yellow plaid suit, Brock pummeling some of Sergeant Hatred's boys dressed as what looks like a Yeti-Mummy.  "the VENTURE BROS.(tm) 3rd SEASON GUARANTEED TO PUT-OUT!")

A long (nearly 5 minute) Venture Brothers 3rd Season Preview here.  They parody of the GI Joe opening for OSI is funny but I could do without the Freudian Dr. Killinger/Jonas Venture scene.

Not at all.  Over the top too graphic once the black censorship bar disappears.  I think it crossed the NC-17 line and I think it made the point before that.  I thought the Catherine the Great scene in Triana's closet was over the top, too, for example.  I like the show a great deal but at times I wish they didn't go quite as far as they do.

I think the most appropriate retort was to have been, "So's your mother."  Or maybe "Go fuck yourself." With a smiley, of course. :)

I've seen a handful of episodes, and I thought it was very hit and miss.  The episode where Little Mermaid/Ariel-esque character became a babbling, carnal retard was...well...hilarious.  And deeply embarrassing.  Other episodes seldom rose to my expectations after that.

I haven't seen a single episode of any of the shows mentioned in this thread. I think that makes me better than all of you.
What a relief. I've always suspected it to be true, but I just didn't have any evidence. This will make you laugh, but for a while I thought you guys might be better than me. Wow, am I going to sleep easy tonight.
Now that i have owned you all,  I can move on to phase two.
You are posting in a troll thread.

It was okay, but season 2 was a real let down compared to season 1-which isn't saying too much I guess.
