It'd be like me going into RPGPundit's subforum and asking what he thinks about White Wolf. A bait, an attempt at stirring shit - a troll.

Oh no it wasn't, you dunny licking twerp!
If I want to know why Nox is so angry about stuff I've got to know what he specifically finds offensive.
I am not going to hassle Nox about his weight, now that he has answered my question. His politics perhaps is worthy of attack.:p

So atheists have been abused, treated badly by clergy or they\'re stupid.They\'re just being trendy because they can\'t understand The God Delusion because they don\'t have the education, plus they\'re just pretending to be atheists anyway. Pundit you\'re the one with a problem, terminal stupidity.

Don't worry about it anthro. JimBob likes to tell people why they do things, and then attack anyone who tries to determine motives for actions on the basis of "you can't know people from a few internet posts." It (and topic policing) are his hobbies, at least on this forum.

I'll agree with Mr. Nox that Jiminy Glick is pretty damn creepy and offensive.  Fat Bastard seemed a bit much for my tastes as well.  But I'm not prepared to launch a crusade against Hollywood for those offenses.

When Weird Al did "Fat", I thought it was an enjoyable performance.  It struck me as good-natured fun not in the least bit hostile.  But then Mr. Yankovic pretty much comes off as a super nice guy no matter what he does.

Again, I did not like Jiminy Glick and for me Fat Bastard was not funny most of the time.  But I advocate no action other than me not watching the Jiminy Glick Show.

But yeah, when one has a beef with Hollywood I think one should speak up.  Is Nox's complaint, now that he has offered substantive examples, really that different from you bitching about the portrayal of Uruguay in that one Steven Seagal movie?  Both have the same root cause, i.e. that Hollywood has its head up its ass.

Then , there are actors  that border on overweight /fat  - but if they choose their roles wisely they don't become the  comic sidekick.

Specifically - Brian Dennehy  has played both heroes and bad guys in movies. He's not exactly "skinny" one of the women that is in my RPG group finds him damn sexy.

..and  how about Queen Latifah , most of her parts have dignity to them.

The difference was I was laughing my ass off at the misconceptions and inferior production of a C-rated movie with a washed up action star, not advocating that Hollywood be forbidden from producing movies about Uruguay because they are evil.

I wasn't specifically responding to you, by the way; I was just noting that for a guy who claims to rail against "Political correctness", Nox sure is quick to call for the Nanny State when someone is prejudiced against his own particular crapulent personal flaw (namely, being a fatass).

P.S. I don't find Glick funny, but mainly because I don't think Martin Short has been funny in at least 20 years. On the other hand, I think Fat Bastard is hilarious, he was a major inspiration for one of my recurring NPCs: Smiley McBastard.

That's right, I mock fat people in almost every game I run. Hah!

Of course, being the coward that you are, I'm sure you make sure you're surrounded by assholes like yourself who find such hateful humor funny and wouldn't even give you a dirty look over it, which would likely be more than a spinless maggot like you could take.

So its a huge sin to rip the piss out of fat people (the majority of whom could go on a diet and not be such a burden on society), but anyone daring to fight the Man and discriminate against people based on a physical or linguistic difference (like, for example skin colour), is a modern day folk hero and should be lauded throughout the land?

You talk of overweight people being a "burden" on society. If you want to talk that then remember than in america there are some groups who are a bigger burden on society, and commit more crimes than the rest of america's population  to boot.

Of course we're not supposed to point that out, or we get called "RACIST!!". Fortuantely I openly admit that by PC standards I am a racist and proud to be one, so I don't care.

Although in general they tend to be weak (given as how fatness usually indicates a lack of physical activity and a lack of personal discipline), there are some fat men who could kick my ass.  Sumo wrestlers or some nightclub bouncers I've seen, for example.

But there are none who can outrun me. :D

The average yearly cost of US Prison Incarceration is $22,787.  In 2002 there were 586,700 black men in US prisons, for a total cost of $13.4 billion.

According to a study of national costs attributed to both overweight (BMI 25–29.9) and obesity (BMI greater than 30), medical expenses accounted for 9.1 percent of total U.S. medical expenditures in 1998 and may have reached as high as $78.5 billion ($92.6 billion in 2002 dollars)

First, looking at prison costs alone is not an accurate measure of the true cost of crime.  At a minimum you would need to include the costs of court proceedings and the apprehension of the prisioners, not to mention calculate the damage of the crimes themselves.

Secondly, just looking at the amount of money spent on medical care of fat-asses doesn't measure their cost to society, unless you also determine who's spending the money.  In the United States there isn't socialized medicine: when someone spends money on himself, it doesn't cost society anything.
