This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Bettie Page Hospitalized After Heart Attack

Quote from: AP StoryBettie Page, one of the most notable models of the 20th century, is hospitalized in intensive care after suffering a heart attack in Los Angeles.

Mark Roesler, Page's agent and attorney, says Friday that the 85-year-old is "critically ill." He says she suffered a heart attack Tuesday and remains hospitalized.

He would not comment further on her condition.

Page is credited with helping set the stage for the sexual revolution of the rebellious 1960s. She attracted national attention with magazine photographs of her sensuous figure in bikinis and lingerie that were tacked up on walls in military barracks, garages and elsewhere.

This is kind of important to me, because I am a fan of her classic pin-ups. It also is something I share with my Dad (82 years old) who had a crush on her as well back in the 50's.

I have no idea why.

Hope she's OK.  She was one of the most beautiful women of her time, and became a born again christian in a non-crazy way.  She never ignored or repudiated her past life, and was never ashamed of it, though she may have expressed some regret over it.  She also never judged those who admired her work, especially her more fetish stuff, even if she became uncomfortable with the constant attention they gave her when she had moved past it.

In all, became the kind of christian I can respect.

You know she had a psychotic episode and stabbed some older woman right?  That's pretty much the definition of becoming a born again christian in a crazy way.  She's kind of loopy, there's a reason she's stayed out of the public eye.

Quote from: meloney;275529Hello everybody, I am 22 years old college student. I am interested to know different type of cardiac arrest and what after that. I know some one who was in cardiac arrest, and it took the paramedics twelve minutes to revive him. He is now on full life support. Is there any chance of a recovery with out brain damage and how long can a brain remain with out oxygen? Please answer me. Thanks a lot.

You're asking for health advice on an rpg forum in a thread about Bettie Page?

Is this for real?
