This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Also, i missed the date on that article. It was written in september. I imagine we would have heard more on this already if there were anything to it.

EDIT: and here is a follow-up where Matt Smith says the rumors aren't true- http://www.digitalspy.com/british-tv/s7/doctor-who/news/a408136/matt-smith-on-doctor-who-future-id-be-mad-to-wish-it-away.html

I was a bit surprised because I saw an interview last week where he gave the impression he wanted to go on for longer.

Unless he lasts longer than Tom Baker, he's a fly-by-night in my opinion.

He might want to match Baker's record.
As it stands now he is pretty close to matching Tennant's number of 'seasons'.  (Depends on how you count the year of "specials")

Seconded.  The guy's got quirky-cold-calculating-friendly-charming-manic down to a science as far as moods go (in my opinion) and that's okay by me.

The Mrs. will still leave me for Tennant any day now, mind you.
I start from his boots and work my way up. It takes a good half a roll to encompass his jolly round belly alone. Soon, Father Christmas is completely wrapped in clingfilm. It is not quite so good as wrapping Roy but it is enjoyable nonetheless and is certainly a feather in my cap.

Smith's great as The Doctor.  He's been hamstrung by Moffat, but that's not his fault; all of the shit in the show since Matt's come on board is on the showrunner, not the star player.

I hope he sticks around for a good long while...
