This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Oooh.  Good one.

Man on Fire (the remake with Denzel Washington) - probably one of my top10 favorite movies of all time.

My preferred sort of revenge film is one where the protagonist is actually smart and has a real "gotcha" at the end.

Sleepers was good for this.  So was Ocean's Eleven or Pierce Brosnan's The Heist.

The revenge movies where the guy just goes around killing off the series of people who did them wrong mostly bore me.

See now this is a fantastic movie and does have a pretty good revenge ending, but for me it's much more the simmering beginning and the slow, methodical and cold-blooded badassedness of Michael Caine that makes this movie so intense.  The ending, for me, falls into the it's so dark you ultimately aren't that satisfied.  It's realistic, because revenge probably isn't really all that satisfying in the end.  But it doesn't deliver the full juicy self-indulgence I'm looking for.  Great choice, though!
