This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: TonyLB;247017I have zero clue what was happening with Thor during this whole time period (other than that he was sick of being an Avenger, but then who wasn't?)
From what I can gather, he was suffering under an endless string of guest appearances to try to make his title interesting.  Dr. Doom, Hercules, She-Hulk, Juggernaut...the New Warriors. :o  No great shakes, it would appear.

I feel ya there!  The X-Men's revolving roster means that most folks I know are believers in the first team they encountered.

Of course, no matter what their sentimental attachments, every true believer understands that Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Wolverine and Kitty are the genuine X-Men. :D

I found my original God Loves, Man Kills graphic novel whilst sorting through some cold storage stuff.  Good book, original costumes, the art is a bit off, though.

Gotta love that panel where the preacher's black suit is just the black background he's standing against, though.  Creeeeeeeeepy.

Oh, yeah, the art had this definite dream-like quality throughout.  Good stuff, but one would be expecting something along the lines of normal art for the title.

Could have been worse.  Could have been Liefeld.

That makes me feel old, because that team is Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Iceman and Angel.
