This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

It's good. Not as good as the first one, but it had little hope of reaching such heights. It felt long, but I was entertained throughout and I thought it did a good job of retaining the "Iron Man-ness" from the first film while moving on...

All I can say about IM2 is that I've seriously considered having myself cryogenically suspended for the summer just to avoid having to fucking hear about it any more.

I was fun, had some great scenes but as a movie i think it was too much like a comic. For example. the whole deal with his father was kinda not needed. In a comic you only loose a couple of panels but on a movie those kinds of things can really mess the pacing.

Still enjoyed it quite a bit but i am an Iron Man fan so all i wanted was the fan service, but i could understand casual movie goers getting a bit overwhelmed.
Of course, there are all kinds of points of view.

I have watched it several times now and with each watch i see more stuff that could have probably been done much better. IMHO, the rush Marvel placed on getting this movie (to time all the movies for Avengers) made in 2 years instead of the 3 Favreu wanted like in the first one was the deciding factor. This one definitely lacked polish.

Oh. Perhaps you should fuck off and not read a thread titled "Iron Man 2," then, huh?

Hey, let's not get crazy here. It's not as if the guy's in control of his actions.

Fuck you all.

EDIT: It's late, I'm tired and don't feel like coming up with a witty reply for you all individually.

I thought IM2 was an ass-kicking good time, personally, but then I don't really disect movies, I just go to enjoy them.

The perpetual motion desk doo-dad was one of the best moments, IMO. I could watch Downey play Stark all day.

Also, I have never been to a movie where people applauded in the MIDDLE of the movie (at the end of the Rhody/Stark fight).

And at the end, they applauded, of course. So I think the packed theater I was in thought it was a pretty damn good time.
