This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Um...I was just saying that, since Zach drew me a former champion, I have a good chance of him winning.

How many times has someone won twice?

I'm genuinely curious as I don't know off the top of my head but IIRC it's rare.

I'm only one of two draws marked as a former winner and a fan favorite. So I'm doomed...

  Arie Luyendyk – 1990, 1997
  Al Unser, Jr. – 1992, 1994
  Emerson Fittipaldi – 1989, 1993
  Gordon Johncock – 1973, 1982
  Roger Ward – 1959, 1962
  Bill Vukovich – 1953, 1954
  Tommy Milton – 1921, 1923
Helio Castroneves - 2001, 2002

In addition, Bobby Rahal won as a driver in 1986 and an owner in 2004 (Buddy Rice).  Not the only time that's happened--I know Parnelli Jones did it, but can't name it right off.  Here's a pretty good link with some winner breakdowns.  The further you dig, the more history and statistics there are.  The Indy500 and gaming should go hand in hand, see? :)

Like Baseball!

OK, that's actually more than I thought. So I have to get a two-time winner into the three-time winner bracket - from the bottom to the middle.

Sorry if I came across too harsh.  Only meant, that was then and this is now; it's anyones game now but good for you having some one who knows how to do it. Good luck :deflated:
