This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Of course, on reflection perhaps I am expecting too much to think that the guy who defends the KKK would think of Asians as being as important as we are.

So to review:

People who think that NK having the nuke is a great thing: Looney "Little Kim" Jong Il, and Dominus.

People who think that NK having the nuke is a Really Fucking Bad thing: every other person in the world.

No kidding. Freakin' nukes are gonna be the death of us all. Two wrongs definitely don't make a right.

I'm glad that North Korea set off a nuke. I really am.

George W. Bush acted like a popmous asshole for years on this matter, commanding NK to cease and desist in it's efforts and to refuse to even talk with them over it until AFTER they'd complied with his demands.

In other words, W was telling them "Just do what I say, we're not going to discuss it."

Personally, I'm so sick of W's arrogance and pompousity that I'm literally in a paroxysm of ecstacy someone finally, publicly and in a very real fashion told him to go fuck himself, and that is undenaibly what NK has done.

Maybe this failure of "dictatorial diplomancy" will get it thru W's skull that dictating to others often has negative results.

I'm not expecting it, of course, as W clearly has had his head up his ass so long his brain has died of asphyxia, but if nothing nelse it was nice to see him publicly flipped off.

Unlike you, you drooling redneck , I don't confuse a country and all its diverse citizens for that country's governing assholes (you anti english buffoon!). So I can agree with you on your distaste for Dubya, though I don't blame all Americans for his dumbfuck decisions (like you do for any decisions taken by the English government).
But no matter how much I dislike Dubya I won't go support some other dumbfuck dictatorship because it shows signs of becoming a major pain in the ass for America AND every other country on the planet.
Grow some sense of reality you arse breath!:D :p

While I find myself seriously unconcerned with the potential millions of casualties or the wreckage of the world economy, being the sort of anti-person asshole I often am...

I still find it objectionable to think that those things are 'GOOD' from the sole standpoint of political one-upsmanship, as Nox seems to do.

Of course, I rather like my genetic codes, I think they represent the peak of evolution. I'd rather not have them damaged by radioactive debris any more than they have to.    Nuclear explosions, sadly are never contained at the blast site.  Unlike Nox's posts.

Jong, I totally want to see that movie.  Please tell me you are negotiating with some rich Uraguayan motherfucker with a serious Hollywood fetish to get it made! :D
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

That's one of the most idiotic things I've heard said by you, or on here in general.

If anything, theRPGsite is like the Revolutionary-era American Colonies.  We have staked out our independence, survive against all odds, and are determined that our goal to stand up for liberty, truth, and a better system of Forum governance will prevail.

I mean fuck, which is more like an autocratic dictatorship: this place or RPG.net?

"Survive against all odds?" What odds? It's not like the British army is knocking at the store looking to kill everyone that won't come back under Her Majesty's wing.

That's not an attack on you or the site, I'm just curious about what sort of almost-site-killing, against-all-odds events have occured here that make survival so extraordinary.

When this site was first taken over by me, there were claims that either the site would be a massive failure (no one would come) or that it would quickly sink into totalitarianism because I was a liar and a hypocrite.

I think now we see who the liars and hypocrites were.

Incidentally, the site still regularly gets people here who, in their hearts, are opposed to everything the site stands for, be it mainstream RPGs or be it the free and open moderation policy, and who have a tacit interest in destroying these things, and subverting or destroying this site.

Ah ... so you have boldly survived people's opinion that you'd screw up.  Not exactly the gravest threat any burgeoning community's ever faced, is it?

Uh ... huh.  You feel that there are people who, in their hearts but (one presumes) not actually in any observable actions, are dedicated to your downfall?  Do you see how that could look, from the outside, the least little bit paranoid?
