This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

When geek culture becomes parody, then it has come into its own.

TBH i find stuff like this really tedious. It's just so contrived. You need to be more than superficial 'ooh we're nerds - and we're hot' to make this work. Sorry but i really tire of this sort of stuff. It's as bad as the original song by the euqally tedious and soon to be the ex-mrs-russell-brand Katy Perry.

Geek satire isn't easy. The GUild manages it, but i wouldn't listen to their song more than once either.
“Ghost Whistler” is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

...also partially very true - but I'm biased to look on the nice side of it because of where I work.

Who pissed in your Tantric Cereal this morning?  :rolleyes:

If you find shit like this tedious and you are oh so above it all and just too cool for school, then why the fuck did you bother to click on the link in the first place and watch the video?

It was pretty good I guess. I'm way past getting tired of the stereotype that all nerds are introverted, fashion-challenged, socially awkward and overweight. Also, they're not all smart either. You can be a nerd and be as dumb as a stump.

I mean, there's a smart, cute girl in our Sunday group, so there's one.

The Guild, on the other hand, is genius (music video and webisodes).

Good fun.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

I have no sense of humour because I don't find some good looking girls who happen to be geeks singing different lyrics to I Kissed A Girl funny?

Now that's comedy!

Because I'm not psychic and subject to the laws of cause and effect the same as you.
