I do wonder about Frigid Farrah's personality. My wife asked, "why would anyone choose the frigid one? If they want to be rejected they don't need to pay for a sexbot to get it." I thought well, maybe the Gang Rape rpg guys would quite like it, take their LARPing to a new level. I didn't mention that to her though, she has a low enough opinion of gamers already.

But really, what's Frigid Farrah's personality? Is that when you flick the "off" switch?

Another article on SBS adds some information.

The broader goal of the company is still to take artificial personalities into the mainstream, beyond sex toys, Hines said.

"The sex robot thing is marketing - it's really about making a companion," he said.
So apparently he's not a complete freak, he's just a guy with an idea who's cynical about marketing. Just as with VCRs, DVDs, broadband, and now 3d movies, once again, porn leads technology.

Ok, considering that this forum is "Media and Inspiration", and this does not seem to be media-related as such, and considering that its very quickly degenerated into a thread for little purpose other than to mock a particular poster, I'm going to close this thread.

I also find it the height of irony that the guy who spent the most time whining about how we don't need an "off-topic" forum on here and how we need to be talking about RPGs blah blah blah pulls the dick move of posting this thread, and with the most offensive possible overtones, essentially inviting a free-for-all of the kinds of behaviours he claims to dislike.
