This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Are there any movies that you guys can think of that fit the title of the thread?

That is Humans are the good guys. (especially in Sci-Fi /fantasy settings)

and....

Intelligent thinking saves the day during the climax or big action point of the movie. (or maybe strange diplomacy with no Guns fired)

An Inconvenient Truth, Avatar, and Dune.

Seriously, Ed. Let it go.

Nope.

According to two other threads on here , Avatar doesn't qualify, and An Inconvenient Truth is wrong kind of fiction to qualify.

Good choices.

Has Humankind made a million movies that are feature length yet?

Just wondering if anyone has figured that out yet.
The worldwide entertainment industry may be in the hundreds of thousands with that at this point. Millions ? Maybe.

I'm not sure if Jeff Goldblum ever got his lit but essentially yes.

Oh, and Alien (another example for the OP, not a brown flaming phallus, although you never really saw its junk in the movie so who knows).

Hitchhiker's Guide.
Predator.
Aliens in the Attic (hey, I have kids!)
Tremors.
Evil Dead and Army of Darkness.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Final Fantasy The Spirit whatever the frag the title was.
War of the Worlds (technically the germs got them but we were smart enough to breath on them).

Whoops just realized that intelligence was part of this so drop out Buffy.  BTW, is this part of some ongoing argument or something?  A couple of the earlier posts suggest that but as usual I'm clueless.

The recent Star Trek movie doesn't qualify?

Sure it does.

Even with the emphasis on Action!, we saw the characters thinking their way out of situations.
