You've probably discussed this somewhere before, or have a blog post about it, but I was wondering - why'd you decide on Uruguay? I gather from bits and pieces here and there that you're originally Canadian (?), but I don't really know much more. Its clear you love Uruguay - hell, you make it sound pretty tempting to a confirmed American Supremicist such as myself.

So, could you give us a bit about your background and such? Or re-post if you have done so in the past?

I had come to visit Uruguay, as a tourist on a three-month trip (having visited south america a couple of times before as a kid and then a teenager) and had such a great time that threw away the return ticket and sent for my stuff.
