This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Its because we were all driven away from TBP with pitchforks and torches. Their mistake was in letting us regroup rather than destroying us. . .

Ah. Well, *I* am still there, posting my rantings and lunacy!

But I think I'll hang here for the serious discussion of polotics ;)

I have yet to create an account there, and no plans to.

No worries, you'd likely be banned after a few posts anyway. I know I was banned after two whole posts there.

Is that a challenge?

Well I wasn't going to Double Dog Dare you, but when you phrase it like that....;)

Eh...like I've said here before: a friend once called me a conservative libertarian. If I knew what he meant, I'd probably agree..

I have an account over at tBP, but I've never posted there. I was reading how...Sergio?...was coming up with some game he was making as articles. And the approach was completely foreign to me. Interesting, but...

That's when I started reading here and the rest, as they say is histrionics...

EK - it was that fact that both could take something from it by which to be incensed that made me think it was a grenade...

But, honestly, mostly the off-handed shot at Gore and the 2000 election not being a nice lense through which to view him, I thought, would get someone's goat.

Nice to see it didn't, actually. There's hope...

I bump into some people that say they are Democrats...but are more like what the media called 'Reagan Democrats" who say they'd be comfortable and okay with voting for Thompson. Something about Hilary just makes them uncomfortable.

I think its the "beer" thing.  Not sure if I posted this here before or not - but I think people vote for candidates they think they could have a beer with or wouldn't mind chatting with at a dinner pary.  Thompson gives off that "Yeah , I could have a beer with that guy "  feeling. So did Bill Clinton, so Did George W Bush.
Hilary - not so much .

Its kind of a dumb theory , but it works.

I think Hilary gives people the creeps less because of the beer factor and more because of the "obviously power hungry/do anything for power" factor.

That's what my dad said about Clinton - you could go have abeer with the guy, but you didn't bring him home to meet the wife.

He still voted against Bill twice.

I know a guy like that locally . (Clinton-like with women) I never introduce any women I date to him  - till I've been dating them at least a month.
