Alright I've only watched the past 3 weeks worth of episodes...plus the pilot and 1 or 2 in the fall - so if there was a build up to that whammy secret to Peter - I didn't see all the clues.
I'll wait 6 to 8 hours to write more clearly about William Bell's office (to give people on West Coast time to catch up)
The WHERE his office is located and that newspaper's headline - thats one hell of a Whammy/cliffhanger moment and reveal.

Alternate timelines and dimension are a favorite topic of mine , so I love stuff like that - "Our world...but just this one or two big detail is a bit different" kind of thing.
