This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Imperator

As it seems a level - headed guy, with some good ideas, he will probably get killed by some fundamentalist nutjob. Sorry about that.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

Or, as I like to say: You! Out of the gene pool... NOW!

Where's the RPG Site moral outrage at this bit of excretion from the bottom of the pond?

(jumps up and down) Me! Me! I was outraged! Well, shocked at least. I understand not liking people. I understand not liking others trying to covert people. I do NOT understand taking pleasure in their beheading.

I think the real question is, what did Spike want to do to the missionary's esophagus afterwards?

Spike, you should totally start a Poison'd game where the pirates go around murdering Central American missionaries.  You can work out some of your missionary-anger issues that way.  :p
Now Prepping: One-shot adventures for Coriolis, RuneQuest (classic), Numenera, 7th Sea 2nd edition, and Adventures in Middle-Earth.

Recently Ended: Palladium Fantasy - Warlords of the Wastelands: A fantasy campaign beginning in the Baalgor Wastelands, where characters emerge from the oppressive kingdom of the giants. Read about it here.

And this way I don't even have to design the game!

Seriously though, its got nothin' to do with the missionaries. I just lack sympathy for people that get themselves killed being stupid. The drunk driver killed when his car slams into a bus?  Thank you please. My sympathy are for their victims.

The missionaries? yeah, they are just as stupidly dangerous as the drunk driver. No one else cares, but they endanger the lives of others by aggrivating an already testy situation.  Every time an insurgent gets the urge to plant another bomb out of righteous fury over the christian missionaries telling them they're going to hell if they don't convert... well, you get the picture.

Its like cheering when you watch a horror movie and the stupid motherfucker*who's activities get everyone else killed finally bites it. Only this time its a real person.  And I'm cool with that, I'm down with my inner savage.

*You know, like the corporate dude in Aliens. (paul rudd?)
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

I actually see your point.  I wouldn't feel glee, though.

More likely, it's going to tick me off.  Stupid people annoy me.  And nothing is dumber than letting some greedy, corrupt organization con you into not only believing in some kind of magic invisible man, but to throw your life away by going into a dangerous area filled with mindless fanatics who will kill you simply for not having the same imaginary friend that they do, much less try to get them to like your imaginary friend instead.*

Worse, I'm going to have to hear about all these idiots in the news for weeks every time.

PS - You mean Paul Reiser, not Paul Rudd.

* Yeah, I hold a very dim view of organized religion
