So, as you may or may not know, every ENnies nominee needs to pick out music. If they win, a 10-15 second snippet of this music plays when they get their award when its announced at the ceremony. Sometimes the selections are funny, sometimes they're good, and sometimes they're bad.
Example of a bad choice: About 3 years ago, Green Ronin played the Black-Eyed Peas "Pump It", leading eventually not only to my insanity, but to the whitest group of people on earth attempting to clap along with it. The worst part is that they won roughly 3,561 awards that night, meaning I heard that snippet 3,561 times.
Example of a good choice: I can't remember if it was Privateer or Paizo last year that had the Pirates of the Carribean theme. It seemed fitting, and I like it anyways.
So a few of my gaming buddies and I were talking about this, and tried to come up with songs for the various gaming companies. Nominees, if you have a song picked out, lay it on us. Everyone else, let's fill in the blanks. Be funny, be snarky, whatever--have fun with it.
Here's a few suggestions we came up with:
Kenzer-Theme From The Good The Bad, & The Ugly (for Aces & Eights)
Paizo-We're Not Gonna Take It, Twisted Sister
HinterWelt-Bill, we couldn't decide on the
theme from Rome or
this.
Crafty Games-James Bond Theme (natch)
Dark Matter-Well, we figured Epic should have something, well...Epic...but are stymied thus far. A little help, please?
Precis Intermedia-We picked
Green Hornet, as it played during our Two-Fisted Tales sessions, and seemed fitting.
That's as far as we got, because we do sometimes have paying jobs. We have our podcasters, our fansites, Mongoose, Green Ronin, Atlas Games, WotC, and
a crapload more. Let's get to it!
