Looks like Hilary Clinton may lose the 4 first primaries or come so close to Obama that its a toss-up.

For the republicans its looking like its Huckabee and Romney for Iowa and New Hampshiree. Rudy has kind of disappeared for this stretch of the race.

I still think Hilary may be out of it by July of next year.

If you're talking about the primaries, the last Democratic primary is June 7th.

It looks like Super Tuesday is going to be Feb. 5th so we'll probably know much sooner than July.

Which won't put her out of the race by a long shot.  Not even by July.

Hooray.  The two religious candidates.  Not the candidates who are religious, but the candidates who are actively campaigning on their religious identities.  Granted, Romney's trying not to, but, given the circumstances, he's having a serious go at it.

In the interest of fairness, even the Democratic candidates are increasingly paying public lip service to their religious roots and practices.  Is anyone else getting uncomfortable with the degree to which candidates have to campaign on their religious identities in the US?

I'm not convinced that Huckabee is going to survive the savaging he's starting to receive as the front-runner and I'm not sure how Romney's flip-flopping or Mormonism are going to play out, either.  I'm also still not convinced that Thompson or McCain are out of the running, especially if Giuliani melts down and the Republicans not driven by religion find other candidates to support.

I think if the Democrats were smarter, Richardson would be leading but what do I know?  I also thought that Kerry would have the best chance of beating Bush before the idiot decided to run on his Vietnam record and three purple hearts. :duh:

Hillary Clinton, trailing in the polls after the Iowa caucases, will appear on national TV and eat a live kitten. Afterwards, she'll demand to know why her competitors aren't committed to kitten-eating, thereby cementing her place as the tough, no-nonsense candidate with the can-do spirit who can keep up with the Republicans in this important catagory. Obama will struggle to catch up by masticating an iguana, and Edwards, misunderstanding the challenge, will be eaten by a goat. Or possibly Dennis Kucinich.

Therefore, Hilary will win the nomination, but go on to lose in the general election when it is revealed that she didn't personally eat the kitten; rather, it was Madeline Albright in drag.

Wait, Madeline Albright in drag ate the kitten, or Hillary ate Madeline Albright in drag?

The former is bad enough; the latter makes me want to stick a fork in my mind's eye...

I needed that laugh after work today. (A register was OVER a huge amount , yesterday...my day off - and no one called me.)
 Thank you.

That would make such a lovely sketch on Saturday Night Live or other similar program.

The rumor is that she's doing Huma Abedin.  You can read the full blown conspiracy theory version of who Huma is on a hate Hillary site here.  The sex rumor is here.

I'm not liking any of this. Romney is too sleazy, Huckabee is too religious.

I want a guy that's a real Christian. One who doesn't shout his religion from the rooftops - rather allows actions to speak for him or her.

And I'm voting for Thompson. Seems the most like Ronaldus Magnus.

Personal Opinion: I think all of the candidates on either side started too early , Fred Thompson may wind up being a winner because of his late start and the slower nature of his campaign.
Many of the other campoaigns (both Democrat and republican) are leaking or saying things that they have to apologize for 24 hours later. Imagine that when they are in office....

None of the fellas I like (Ron Paul, Fred Thompson in a somewhat distant 2nd), have a snowball's chance right now (even though Paul is having a killer fundraising quarter), so that's likely it for me for now.

I don't mind Huckabee so much, but I think he's a weak candidate who's been at the back of the pack and is only now going to be under that intense front-runner scrutiny.  It doesn't bode well for him.
