This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Crap. I'm posting on RPGnet again.

I've been drawn into a discussion in the D&D ghetto over Mearls' OD&D campaign.  This is not going to end well.

I find that what helps in moments like these is visiting CotI and reading some thread on the design sequence for TL14 battlecruisers or on the use of gerunds in Ancient High Vilani. Instant lowering of blood pressure.

You're right of course.  I'm glad I posted here.  It's nice to get some perspective.  I think Gary's death and that Snyder dillweed have made me lose mine.  For someone to start smack-talking Mearls for daring to play the original RPG was just too much.

Anyway, I'm done with that thread.

That's not really fair. The trolls here are excellent.

Here's my website. It's defunct, but there's gaming stuff on it. Much of it's missing. Sorry.

I've got a blog. Do you read other people's blogs? I dunno. You can say hi if you want, though, I don't mind company. It's not all gaming, though; you run the risk of running into my RL shit.

Alright, since you and droog both asked.

Here's the thread:

Post #5 is the one that ticks off me (and a bunch of other folks).  The thread pretty much goes off the rails at that point.  I come in around post 90-something.  People are still ragging on this Polaris chump a hundred or so posts after that.

Polaris is a total fucking idiot. That's all I have to say.:haw:

Polaris... I'm sure I've seen that forum nick somewhere before... I'm getting a whiff of Forger about him, but that could be because his name is the same as that of a Forger rpg.

He even appeals to the mods without hitting the report button, the mark of a true forum crybaby - wants to be able to cry that he's being attacked, but won't report it, so he can keep being attacked.

All I have to say to him is: :viking:

Christ.... people get their knickers in a wad over everything, don't they?

Dude needs to take the dress off and butch the fuck up, doesn't he?
