If I'm going to buy something with only three wheels - and I won't, because it doesn't suit my "energetic" driving style - I'd just stick to the Aptera, another of the "super-green three-wheeled" [and thus exempt from automobile regulations] California cars.

Is there any way to make it part of a role playing game setting?

 Maybe, society or some other force encouraged vehicles to more 'personal' and closer to the body for some reason. Boxy car shapes are no longer being made - that kind of thing.

Its an interesting design.
