This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Don LeFontaine, the ubiquitous "voiceover guy," has died:

EDIT: LaFontaine.  Ooops.
For fuck's sake, these are games, people.

And no one gives a fuck about your ignore list.

Don is the first one in the car and does most of the narrating.
Nick Tate - used to be a regular on SPACE 1999 and was recently in a 1st season episoide of "LOST"

The voice on the phone that Don blows off  - was his main East Coast competition, sometimes referred to as the "East Coast Voice of God".

That clip is actually amazing because you can hear how the different qualities of voices are better for certain goals.

Thanks for that, Ed.

Well,...considering how some GMs (me included) like to do character voices in their games for NPCs I was always kind of aware of different voice actors. I'm still working on my Peter Cullen sound-alike voice.

For comparison, here is Hal Douglas , LaFontaine"s main rival doing that infamous COMEDIAN promo:
