Mister X, maybe, but it started out atmospheric and cool, then petered out due to change of artist and the obvious "need" to keep the story going ad infinitum.
Early Love and Rockets, perhaps, when the creators were more into surreal pastiche like "BEM" than slice-of-life LA and Palomar.
Next wave agents of H.A.T.E maybe?
