SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

In my ongoing effort to try to find out what really happened....

Found this article:

Now admittedly that article is from opinion website and connected to a radio show hosted by a Democrat.  Thing is - he may have the story entirely correct.

A few quotes from that article:

QuoteThe church is the site of gay affirming activities. A member of the congregation wrote in a national blog that the church just recently put up a sign welcoming gays. One of the goals of the church's long range plan is to:

Increase congregational participation in human rights programs for gay/lesbian/transgendered persons.

This does kind of tick me off for past personal reasons of my own. I'm all in favor of Gay marriages & weddings for one thing.

Again, I still think his ex-wife's tenuous connection to the Church is a contributing factor. The church's welcoming policy for those who are different from him or that he fears probably accelerated things in his mind.

Also, here is the website for the Unitarian Universalist Church, for those interested in supporting that congregation:

The bare facts of the case in the indictment:

QuoteThe man accused of opening fire inside the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville last month has been indicted by the Knox County Grand Jury on two counts of first degree murder, two counts of felony murder, and six counts of attempted first degree murder.

Jim D. Adkisson, 58, is accused of killing two people and wounding several others in the attack that happened July 27 during a children's performance at the church.

Greg McKendry, 60, and Linda Kraeger, 61, were killed.
