Because I'm just not seeing it. And I'm refering to the books here, not the game (that's a whole different kettle of fish).

People just seem to gush and drool over it and I just don't get it. I'm trying really hard to repress my natural asshole attitude here and keep an open mind, so I'd like to hear what other people's thoughts are on it. Pro and Con I suppose.

I'm not sure that it's "so special," but I do like it. I think it for a number of reasons.

First, I think a lot of the concepts are just plain neat. The Pattern, Shadows, etc..

Second, I like author's style.

Third, I like what happens in the books. The basic story.

Fourth, some of the symbols are just plain neat. When Corwin sends his creatures of book out, saying, "I'm coming," for example.
