This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

It would be amusing to hear someone punched him in his fat, smug face, and doubly so if it were another republican like he obviously is, but if he was doing something genuinely good I'd hate to see it screwed up by some ignorant conservative (As if there was any other kind) at the polling place.

Gee whillickers Demonoid, you gotta decide who you hate more. All these mixed messages are well, mixed. I gotta think Koltar's the lesser of two "evils" here, even with the GURPS thing. Actually, I kinda admire the guy's moxie...you just know some redneck is going to think he's a terrorist or an African-American is going to flip out when they see the blackface. If I was him, I'd bring a really leggy black chick in Klingon garb just to kinda smooth things over.

To clear up one misconception:

There is no black face involved.

African Americans tend to get a kick out of my outfit.

I've never attacked you personally and only had a few posts here when you told me you basically couldn't describe your feelings towards me in mere words. So maybe you need to cut down on the crystal meth.

Oh, waitaminute, I attacked that little conservative prick koltar. You and him lovers? That might explain your hostility towards me for attacking him.

Hey. to each their own.

This has nothing to do with "Conservative" or "Liberal", its a way to encourage people to vote and to give to a charity.

I'm taking suggestions on what are good choices for the charity.

Please do the mean-sprited and vitriolic stuff in some other thread - thank you.

Actually I was hoping you might be able to post once without personal attacks and foul language. Not going to happen, apparently. Also, what hostility? I think I was giving you something of a compliment in the first post I ever directed towards you (admittedly also included a shot or two, but very mild compared to most of what we see 'round these parts). I guess you might be a bit touchy?

Seriously. Decaf. It tastes just the same!

St Jude Children's Hospital

Red Cross

The International Red Cross

Ronald McDonald House

Check around your neighborhood to see if there are any local people that need donations for life threatening illnesses (there is a donation jar in most gas stations locally for children with cancer or some other terminal illness.)

Good luck

Got a tough choice here.....

FUR COLOR.

Klingon sleeves on the outfit are usually some kind of. The traditional on-the-show standard boring Klingon wears black furry sleeves. The DuraS family wore red sleeves when we first saw them, then they changed that because Nicholas Meyer said he was featuring the color red with Klingon in STAR VI :THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY. After that, we usually saw the DuraS sisters wearing Green furry sleeves. (look at first season of DEEP SPACE NINE - real noticeable in one shot)

In KLINGON and Star Trek fandom I'm known for wearing the blue furry sleeves and gauntlets with my outfit.

However, not sure if I should do that on election. Because of the media's hijacking of the colors Red and Blue to 'mean' something - my usual might be mis-interpreted as endorsing one party or the other. The Board of Elections specifically told me that my outfit should not appear to endorse one side over another.

I've also worn WHITE furry sleeves with my Klingon Santa outfit. That means I've got red gauntlets as well.

Here are my three options:

1) Black furry sleeves like a standfard Klingon in the shows & movies.

2) White furry sleeves with 1 blue gauntlet and 1 red gauntlet. That way I am a Red, White, and Blue Klingon. (10 years ago, because of an accidental thrown together outfit - I got nicknamed the "patriotic Klingon" at a convention)

- OR -

3) Wear my usual Blue Furry sleeves shirt and not worry about it.

Whats everyone's advice on this minor fashion issue?

There is a side tangent to all of this: I have to lose about an inch around my tummy or waist (thereabouts) by Halloween or election day . Yep, I got a tad overweight between March and May of this year. The standard Klingon Commander's tunic I wear would not fit me for an event in May - I had to switch to a back-up outfit.

SO, anyone know of any healthy & sane ways to lose a smidgeon of weight and an inch & half off my waist in 4 weeks or less?
I've already stoped drinking soda pop and am just drinking water or juices for liquid refreshment. (might have had a touch of caffeine withdrawl)

For any of you who missed it the first time , this video shows my Klingon outfit that I currently wear. :

Whats amusing is that I was actually "off the clock" when the reporter bumped into me and if you look behind me - I'm browsing at the Steve Jackson Games booth. The first person talking at the Klingon Jail that he talks to is Kilroy from my GURPS: TRAVELLER campaign group.

Thats the outfit I have to fit back into.

The charities I am leaning towards right now are TOYS for TOTS and the Wounded Warrior Project.

4 weeks is not a lot of time. Double up on the salads and stay away from high carb and high fatty foods (no big macs), If you cook your own meals try grilling or oven roasting rather than frying, also cut back on the salt. If possible and start walking as much as you can.

As for losing weight over a short period of time I recently developed a milk allergy and have lost a few pounds just by avoiding most dairy containing foods (not easy by the way, a lot of stuff contains milk products for no good reason), so its possible, but you have to want to do it.

Those are both good choices for your charity picks btw.

Ah crap.  Election night coverage usually gives me a headache but now I'm going to have to watch my local news to see if Ed shows up in his Klingon regalia.

A Minor Victory!

I had a 'minor victory' in my dieting efforts today - I tried on my Klingon tunic and actually could fasten it together.

YaHoo!!!!

Qapla'!! even.

Minor technicality : I was wearing jeans and a tanktop t-shirt at the time. It was snug, but fastened. Usually I wear a furry shirt and regular belt underneath it. I need to lose maybe an inch or half-inch more by Halloween or Election day.

I still intend to vote on Election day wearing my Klingon Garb - as long as everyone that has promised to donate to charity follows through with that as well.
