This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Which is a great shame, because the idea is quite good.

For some reason merchandisers seem unable to produce anything game-related which is low-key and doesn't scream "OMFG I'm 14 and roleplaying games rule...my...life!"

I'd find them more appealing if they canned the tacky label pics and named them a little more esoterically - maybe "Ottiluke's Translucent Effervescence" or "Grape Potion No. 5".

"Bigby's Crushing Thirst Destroyer" is a step in the right direction, if grandiose, but "Sneak Attack"?  I'll stick to Coke and diabetes if those are the choices.

Yeah. They were part of a promotion...months ago, I think it was.

It's not something I'd purchase, but Jones has yet to make a soda I didn't like, so good for them.

What about the turkey and gravy soda from a couple of Thanksgivings ago?  As I understand it, the stuff tasted almost exactly like turkey and gravy.

(I will give that a few minutes to settle in, for those unfamiliar with Jones soda. :)  )

I tried it. Once was enough. It wasn't bad or anything, but some flavors just shouldn't come in soda form. Also, drinking an entire bottle of something that tastes like gravy makes me uncomfortable. :D

I think that is one of those Lovecraftian kinds of horror that takes some time to register.  :)
