This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I love this stupid cartoon. I can see D&D in it. Old Nintendo games. And something else. Something I can't put my finger on. My son suggests that its creators are high, and for some reason that should make it seem familiar. I don't think they're high, though I won't dispute some dope humor.
Has anyone else seen the show or thought about this?
Employment Counselor: So what do you like to do outside of work?
Oblivious Gamer: I like to play games: wargames, role-playing games.
EC: My cousin killed himself because of role-playing games.
OG: Jesus, what was he playing? Rifts?

This show is fantastic and it gets a laugh or two out of me nearly every time I see it.  I also like the follow-up cartoon to AT on the schedule ("Regular Show," or something like that).

When my Aunt looks at a cartoon and proclaims it to be "just wrong," then I know it to be oh, so right.

If the makers of the cartoon are high when they make it, well...who cares.  Keep the funny coming and damn the consequences!!!
I start from his boots and work my way up. It takes a good half a roll to encompass his jolly round belly alone. Soon, Father Christmas is completely wrapped in clingfilm. It is not quite so good as wrapping Roy but it is enjoyable nonetheless and is certainly a feather in my cap.

The only movie I know of where drugs were confirmed to be a major influence was the orginal Universal Soldier and boy did it suck.

Mind you the radio classic that spawned Monty Python, South Park and pretty much all surreal shock comedy the Goon Show was written by a manic depressive high on his meds so sometimes it works.
