This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

So, hollywood's going into a new 3D craze now.

My opinion on it is they'd be better if they concentrated on 3D stories and characters instead of 3D filming.

a 3D movie with 1D characters and a flat story will still be a bad movie. A 2D movie with 3D characters and plots will be better.

Problem is that what has been the current Hollywood logic for awhile now is that if you spend the money on special effects what you could have spent on the scrpt, you will get people into theaters. Latest case-in-point for this has been the Clash of the Titans remake.

Yeah, Alice sucked.

Actually, for me, I don't want a 3d script or 3d characters if the film is 3d. I just want a bunch of cool visuals about 2 hours. If the characters and script are fully fleshed out and interesting, I would rather watch it in 2d (3d is just too distracting and makes it harder for me to enjoy a good movie).
