This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Mules are badass

A barrel of apples for that mule, and if anyone wants to tell it otherwise I'll be standing twenty five paces behind them.
"These children are playing with dark and dangerous powers!"
"What else are you meant to do with dark and dangerous powers?"
A concise overview of GNS theory.

Damn, that was awesome. Think I have to go back and rewrite the stats for Mules in my old Rules Cyclopedia!

I'm actually told that sometimes donkeys are included in herds of sheep to protect them from hyenas, coyotes and the like. It doesn't look like it's an isolated thing: donkeys and mules seem to kick ass when they want to protect their family.

Jesus Fucking Christ, is this guy honestly that goddamned stupid? He can\'t understand the plot of a Star Wars film? We\'re not talking about "Rashomon" here, for fuck\'s sake. The plot is as linear as they come. If anything, the film tries too hard to fill in all the gaps. This guy must be a flaming retard.  --Mike Wong on Red Letter Moron\'s review of The Phantom Menace

D&D is not an "everyone gets a ribbon" game.  If you\'re stupid, your PC will die.  If you\'re an asshole, your PC will die (probably from the other PCs).  If you\'re unlucky, your PC may die.  Point?  PC\'s die.  Get over it and roll up a new one.

LOL Well at least the pics are real.

Related: I watched one of the 'big cat' specials on Discovery last year and witnessed a cape water buffalo fling a full grown real lion (much bigger than a mountain lion) some twenty feet.

Not that it did the buffalo much good, as lions two through five ate it while Lion 1 got up and staggered back to teh fight.

I also saw a small pride of lions working on a water buffalo for a good several hours before the rest of the herd got fed up and stomped 'em good to rescue their (still living) buddy.

I can imagine that a mountain lion approaching a mule from the rear (as they are wont to do) could, in fact get kicked in the head and killed by said mule.

Of course, I can run up to a main battle tank and toss a rock down the barrel, disabling the main gun. Doesn't mean I am better than a tank, it just means I got somewhat lucky.
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

The popular Battle at Kurger video seems to end better for the water buffalo.  It includes a crocodile, too, in the mix.
