This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

This is a cross-post, but a friendly one.

Here:

QuoteEd posted on the Goldenrod & friendly: Years ago I was one of the officers of the University of Cincinnati Film Society.
One of the games we concocted back in the 1980s was connecting movie titles by way of one or two words to get an entirely new title.

The examples I can remember are :

The Grapes of Wrath
.....combined with

The Wrath of Khan

...became....

The Grapes of Wrath of Khan

And also this one:

Gone With The Wind combined with The Wind and the Lion became:
Gone With The Wind And The Lion

We had a poster sized sheet of paper covered with 20 to 30 examples like that at the time. (This was between 1987 and 1991)

Its been at least 20 years since then.
Can anyone think of more Blended Movie titles that turn into new titles? Bonus points if you can think of what the new story might be and if it can be turned into an RPG scenario.

The one I just concocted is :

QuoteOf course this movie was complicated and VERY scary:

Alone In The Dark Knight's Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood In, Blood Out. The ensemble cast had lots of green screen and stunt work to worry about.

That was of course blended from : "Blood in Blood Out" , "Tales From The Crypt:Bordello of Blood", "Knight's Tale", "The Dark Knight" , and "Alone in the Dark".

Thought you guys might think of some good ones as well.

Somehow today's newspaper made me think of this one:

New Jack City of Angels In The Outfield Of Dreams

The touching and heartwarming story of Angels, Baseball, the drug war in the inner city, romance, and a son reuniting with his father.

The above of course blended from the titles of : New Jack City , City Of Angels , Angels In The Outfield, and Field of Dreams.
