SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Why can't I see posts by "dar"?

I've got notices to threads I'm watching of posts by "dar" but when I go to the threads the messages aren't showing up.  I checked, and I don't seem to have anyone on an ignore list so I'm wondering if he has been put on universal ignore perhaps?

Take care Nothingland. You were always one of the most ridiculously good-looking sites on the internets, and the web too. I\'ll miss you.  -"Derek Zoolander MD" at a site long gone.

I don't even see him/her listed as a member. Quite possibly, spambot banning.

Wierd. Ten minutes ago (okay, probably longer) I read those posts. Didn't sound too outstandingly spammish to me... not that I can now recall what they were.

But now I can't read 'em either.

The anti-spambot occasionally grabs a live user.  I think the most common trip is a short post with one or more links and a user whose total posts are under 10.  I'll check to see if dar is accidentally banned ASAP.

Yeah, the robot busted him.  He should be okay now.  Many apologies to dar!

Cool, thanks for fixing it, I was wondering if the board had it's first banned parson but hadn't seen anything in his posts that would have been worth banning. (and figured there would have been an announcement)

This sort of thing (the spambot banning a legitimate user who happens to be new to the site and posts a few too many links) will tend to happen. Usually, between me and the other admins, it gets fixed fast enough that absolutely no one, including the supposedly "banned" guy (because its really a universal ignore, not a ban) even notices.

Don't worry that if someone who wasn't a spammer really did get banned, we would say something about it.
