This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Shouldn't this be in Off Topic?

And should we really have threads in any forum dedicated to attacking a particular poster? We already get to do personal attacks as much as we want, but starting whole threads about how so-and-so is a cunt is, I think, disruptive to therpgsite.

Just post about rpgs, and ignore any posters who really annoy you - either by scanning past their posts, or through the forum or browser software.

Why start a thread like this SL ? All it does is create animosity between members and has the potential of bringing out the worse in everybody. As everyone is probably aware, I ain't exactly the biggest Gliechman fan around -and he does have a few - but what happens in one thread should stay there...unless you are in a fight, then by all means drag shit out. But to start a thread against another user (even if he has said some uncharitable things about this board and it's members) seems a little bit petty.

You know what? You're right. I feel silly now, and it's just not worth it. I'll just let it go. Would it help if I said that I've felt crappy and sick all week, so I plead temporary insanity? :)

Should I just go back and edit the first post? I'm not terribly interested in starting a war, and cringed a bit after reading what I wrote in this thread. To be honest, I'm not even that irritated with gleichman any more. Maybe I'll just edit it.

This works for me.

I had my own moment of temporary insanity when I helped derail the "women in gaming" thread. I'm still recovering from that one :D

Where ever Gleichman is right now, I hope he's having a chuckle. Love him or hate him, I've always found that he has something interesting and pretty smart to say about gaming.
