SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What is "Attachments"?

Sorry if i seem like a noob, but i really don't know.

What can be posted on attachments on this site, and so on?
Links?
A page of my own developed core rules?
More than one page?

I have no idea, really.
I may not dislike D&D any longer, but I still dislike the Chaos-Lawful/Evil-Good alignment system, as well as the level system.
;)

Pictures, PDFs, docs, various types of documents (files with extensions like .jpg, .pdf, .docx, etc) that can be attached to your posts. There's a relatively low limit on the size of the docs attached to your posts IIRC, however. It's something like 195 Kb, if memory serves.

Here, as an example, I attach the letter-sized character sheet of AS&SH to this post.

Um, thank you, but i'm not fully clear on this yet, i mean, like this:
Where are those added attachments stored?
Are they stored on this site, or must they be stored elsewhere online first?

Example:
I have this online: http://catelf.webs.com/
However, i also have a variant of the core rules there as a document on my computer.
Would it be possible to add the document on my computer as an attachment?

Yes you could, provided it doesn't exceed the limit of 195 Kb in size. The file is then stored on the site, you click on attach files under the window where you type your post. A window pops up. You browse your files and find the one you want to upload. You click "upload". You wait til its done, then close the pop up window, keep writing your post, then post. It'll be attached on the forum.
