It appears that it can't be absolutely confirmed that Two-Fishes is Walkerp, so he gets the benefit of the doubt and is unbanned.

But let's be clear here, Two-fishes is clearly someone up to no-good anyways. His only posts here have consisted of either engaging in a dick-waving contest against me, or promoting the Forge and storygames on this site. I think its still extremely probable that he's either one of the people known to have done "anonymous" attacks on me before (like walker and Fritzs on my blog) or just someone who's generally here to disrupt the site.

So for the moment, Two Fishes is back; but consider yourself under permanent warning. Keep going like you were already, and you'll be banned soon enough as either a spammer (for the Forge) or a threadcrapper.

This is kind of ridiculous. "Spamming for the Forge"? (I'm pretty much on the opposite side of where the guy stands but that's surely not the point.)

Threadcrapping is a bannable offense? I've got over 3k posts that would seem to indicate the opposite.

Did you even read the thread where Pundit says to stop doing that? And you do it too? Must I spend time to remove those large smilies? There's not a whole lot of rules. Why is it so hard to understand that using large images like that, particularly when you have nothing to say, is merely a detriment to the site -- it slows down page loading and distorts the layout for some users. It's merely being considerate not doing it.

That is fucking stupid and Werekoala's ban should be retracted. It's a stupid rule, anyway. So far all the rules have been about what might disrupt the site as a whole - sockpuppeting, cyberstalking, and so on. Fair enough. This is just personal preference.

Since apparently it's too hard to refrain from using the "yellow bus" smilies, I've deleted them all.

Please note that the "temp-ban" Brett gave Werekoala was not something he'd consulted with me about; I'm not saying it was wrong but I think it was hasty, I had also just mentioned on the thread about this that you COULD post any of the smilies we have, and that was one of the smilies we had.

Brett, any smiley you'd rather we didn't use here, please remove it (don't go overboard, I just mean smileys that you think go overboard with taking up space/speed); but yes, if it had been me I wouldn't have issued that ban for Werekoala, particularly since I'd said it was ok to post smilies from here, and because as a rule I don't believe in "tempbans". Anything that is mild enough to merit a tempban probably shouldn't be moderated here, and anything serious enough to merit a ban should merit a permaban.

I already lifted the ban about an hour ago. All special smilies are now gone, save for the ones in the dropdown list. That privilege has been abused, so like what's done to spoiled little children, it gets taken away.

Note that posting smilies that we have does not override this rule: "Do not post a response where you don't actually type anything, and just put some stupid internet-meme animation that does nothing but slow down the functioning of this site."
